The writer and the artist behind the book.
Leigh Podgorski
Author
A playwright, screenwriter, and researcher whose work has been produced in Los Angeles and New York and staged across California reservations, campuses, and museums. Her play We Are Still Here, about Cahuilla elder Katherine Siva Saubel, became a documentary now held in the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian and the Getty Collection. Feathers of Wisdom is her second collaboration with Kait Matthews, following The Flowerwise Oracle.
Kait Matthews
Illustrator
A First Nations artist of Ojibwe and Potawatomi heritage and a member of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation. A summa cum laude Fine Art graduate of the Laguna College of Art and Design, she previously illustrated the Clarity Tarot and Flowerwise Oracle decks. She lives in Northern California, where she continues to paint the women this book is built around.
