Please read these terms carefully as they are a binding legal contract, and we suggest downloading a copy for your records.

By making a payment for the purchase of 1 chapter in the multi-author book ("Book"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions, which constitute a binding legal contract between you and Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo.

1. Agreement Acceptance

You are purchasing 1 chapter in the multi-author book, which includes editing, proofreading, formatting, full professional design, and rights to distribute your chapter as you choose. You are purchasing this in your business capacity and guaranteeing the purchase as an individual. This Terms of Purchase is the entire agreement between us. This Terms of Purchase supersedes our prior discussions, emails, online or voice messages.

2. Payment and Refunds

What happens after you pay: Our secure payment processor is Stripe. You’ll receive a receipt for your records shortly after purchase. Please allow 24-48 hours for communication from Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo Publishing with what we require for your chapter and bio. We reserve the right to delay communication if technical difficulties arise.

Refunds: This service has a no refunds policy. By completing this purchase, I acknowledge and agree not to initiate a chargeback. If I initiate a chargeback I will be charged an additional fee of $300 USD. I agree that failure to complete my chapter in time does not warrant a refund.

Payment Schedule: All book payments are made in full at the start of the project. I agree that I will provide necessary information for my chapter and bio to Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo Publishing with the execution of this agreement for the multi-author book to be released, crediting me as a co-author.

3. Deliverables

I agree to send my completed chapter and bio to Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo Publishing by the date specified in email or social media communication. I understand that failure to send my chapter and bio by the date specified in the emails and private Facebook group will result in my chapter no longer being included in the multi-author book and no refund will be given.

4. Copywriting and Legal Conditions

I am granting to Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo Publishing along with their partners and co-authors the non-exclusive rights to print, publish, distribute and sell my chapter as a part of the book throughout the world in all languages and all formats.

I am granting Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo Publishing, their partners and co-authors the right to use my name, likeness, biographical information, and full and/or excerpt of my chapter with full attribution to me in the promotion of the book in both digital, printed and audio format.

I understand that the kindle and print version of the book sold through Amazon containing my chapter is for Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo Publishing only and that all profit will go to a charity of Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo Publishing’s choice.

I understand that upon possible distribution and/or audiobook creation, proceeds will go towards production costs, administrative fees and/or advertising and publicity. I understand that failure to send my audio in the needed format by the date specified in emails and the private Facebook group, will result in my chapter no longer being included in the multi-author book audiobook and no refund will be given.

5. Defamation and Bullying

Client is to be respectful, reliable and work well with Jessica Verrill, LLC, House of Indigo and all contributors to this project. Client is expected to be polite, respectful, professional and presentable when engaging with all media contacts during media interviews, media bookings, events, during media promotion/media campaigns, guest presentations and all public or community events.

Contract may be terminated with or without notice if there are high levels of disrespect, verbal abuse, defamation or slander or bullying against Jessica Verrill, LLC, House of Indigo against team members or Media houses, Media sources or Celebrities, or Influencers and similar sources. No refunds will be given.

The Client shall not make any false, disparaging, or derogatory statement in public or private regarding Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo, its employees, or agents. The Company shall not make any false, disparaging, or derogatory statements in public or private regarding the Client and its relationship with the Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo.

6. Editing and Revisions:

Contributors understand that the editing process involves collaboration and feedback. Each contributor is entitled to one round of revisions for their submitted chapter. Revisions must be submitted within 3 days of receiving feedback. Failure to meet revision deadlines may result in the chapter being included as-is in the Book.

7. Indemnification:

Contributors agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo Publishing, including their officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from the contributor's chapter or any breach of these terms.

8. Publication Date and Promotion

The anticipated publication date of the Book will be announced at least 2 weeks in advance. Contributors commit to actively participating in promotional efforts, including sharing promotional materials, engaging in media interviews, attending events, and promoting the Book on their respective platforms.

9. Termination and Withdrawal:

Contributors may withdraw from the project by providing written notice to Jessica Verrill, LLC. Withdrawal before submission may result in the forfeit of any payments made. Withdrawal after submission may result in exclusion from the Book, and no refunds will be issued.

10. Collaboration Rights and Credits:

Contributors are encouraged to collaborate on promotional efforts, including joint appearances, interviews, and events. Contributors shall receive appropriate attribution in promotional materials, and their contributions shall be acknowledged in Book-related promotions, as deemed reasonable and appropriate by Jessica Verrill, LLC and House of Indigo.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Maine. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts inMaine.

I understand that no paperback copies are included in the program but can be purchased from Amazon at the wholesale price.

By acknowledging and accepting these terms and conditions, you acknowledge your understanding and agreement to the terms governing your participation in the multi-authored book collaboration.
